How do I reset my explore page on Instagram?

Instagram’s explore page is a great feature that allows you to discover new content and accounts that interest you. However, over time, it can become cluttered with posts that no longer captivate you. If you’re looking to refresh your explore page and start seeing more relevant content, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to reset it.

1. Open the Instagram app:

The first step is to open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Make sure you’re logged in to your account.

2. Go to the explore page:

Once you’re in the app, swipe right or tap on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen to access the explore page.

3. Tap on the “Following” tab:

On the explore page, you’ll see three tabs: “For You,” “Following,” and “Popular.” Tap on the “Following” tab to view the accounts you’re currently following.

4. Swipe down to refresh:

Swiping down on the “Following” tab will refresh the list of accounts you’re following. This can help remove any accounts that have recently unfollowed you or accounts that you no longer find interesting.

5. Unfollow accounts you no longer want to see:

Scroll through the list of accounts and tap on the three dots next to each account. Select “Unfollow” to remove them from your following list. This will help clear out any outdated or irrelevant content from your explore page.

6. Re-follow accounts you want to see:

After unfollowing accounts, you can re-follow any accounts you still want to see. Simply go to the “For You” tab and search for the account by name or username. Tap on the account, then tap on the “Follow” button to add them back to your following list.

7. Clear your search history:

Instagram also keeps a search history that can affect the content you see on the explore page. To clear your search history, go to your profile, tap on the three lines in the top right corner, select “Settings,” then “Privacy,” and finally “Search History.” Tap on “Clear Search History” to reset it.

By following these steps, you should be able to reset your explore page on Instagram and start seeing more relevant content. Remember that it may take some time for the changes to take effect, as Instagram’s algorithm adjusts to your preferences.
